Apricot, Crimson, Auburn, Amber
The wind whips through pulling a ribbon of color across my path.
Above, a lone leaf catches my eye
The lonely autumn flag grasps
to the naked branch reluctant to be free.
Crisp cool air tickles my face my eyes water as my smile increases. I feel alive as my senses are noticeably attentive
to the changes that envelope me.
A rustle in the brush catches my attention. An excited chipmunk dashes to and fro collecting bits of acorns and twigs.
Reluctant to leave this expressive world, I turn towards the head of the trail.
Taking in every moment as I know tomorrow it will not be the same.
This thought ushers no sadness but excitement for what tomorrow may bring.
Sarah,
ReplyDeleteDo you all have student 'clubs' at your school? All of our middle schools offer various clubs for students to participate in during the school day called "Power Hour". Or, if students need remedial time they have it then as well.
You could start a photography club and post student work like you are posting your work and then have it connected to your school's website. So often schools offer sports but don't offer other outlets for students to participate in and you would be great at leading a photography club.
Thanks for sharing your views and thoughts of the world around you!
@Amy My school has some after school clubs, but no photography club (yet). I started a photography club at my old school and one of my biggest frustrations was that my students couldn't print their pictures. (Cost, lack of parent support, lack of technology at school) If I had my students set up blogs then that would eliminate all of the costs besides the actual cameras. Once I clear a couple of things off of my plate, like grad school and coaching cheerleading, I would like to start a club at school.
